SCRAM CAM®
Continuous Alcohol Monitoring
MONITORING SOLUTIONS
The SCRAM CAM® bracelet by SCRAM Systems delivers court-validated, continuous alcohol testing through 24/7 transdermal monitoring. Integrated into The MOST Program’s Trio-Treatment model, this ankle-based system eliminates testing gaps, supports long-term behavior change, and delivers the accountability that matters MOST in DUI and criminal cases requiring verified sobriety.
When someone drinks alcohol, much of it is absorbed and metabolized in the body, but about 4% of it is excreted through the lungs and kidneys, and 1% through the skin in the form of insensible perspiration. SCRAM CAM tests that insensible perspiration using an electrochemical fuel cell by sampling the wearer’s sweat every 30 minutes.

❋How SCRAM CAM Tests Alcohol Through the Skin
How does it all work? The SCRAM CAM bracelet automatically transmits testing data to the SCRAM Wireless Base Station where it is stored and uploaded to our online monitoring software, SCRAM Optix™. When an alert is generated, our team of professionally trained analysts perform a review process and surface any violations to the supervising authority.
❋How does it work?
Continuous, automated monitoring eliminates the opportunity to drink around test schedules. SCRAM CAM also conclusively distinguishes drinking from environmental alcohol sources, providing courts with confidence in test results.
